The Flower Challenge May – Vellum or Acetate

Can you believe we are in May already??? It’s starting to fell like spring here in Scotland, yay. I was inspired by all the flowers beginning to shoot up for this months card for The Flower Challenge. To start I cut a piece of cold pressed watercolour card to 3” x 6” and also made a custom size cardbase (still to make the envelope). I used ranger archival black ink, which is waterproof, and a little bit of masking to create my scene with a Bloom from Altenew Golden Garden set. This is my go to floral set, I’ve def have my moneys worth with this one for a change.…

    Ombré Altenew Rose CAS card

Hi my lovelies This card is in a more CAS style – I am continually pushing myself to try new styles and I love the look of Clean and Simple (CAS) cards but find them difficult to pull off. I’m always wanting to add extra sequins 🤩 I took a top folding pale yellow landscape card and gold embossed a mama elephant striped border near the bottom. Next I die cut a pale yellow rectangle and adhered it to the base.  I die cut a Altenew Rose in three shades and also the leaves.  Once adhered I added some glue with a glue pen to the middle layer of the…

    Soft Ink Smooshing

Hi friends. This card combines gorgeous soft distress ink Smooshing (picked raspberry and cracked pistachio) on watercolour paper die cut with Winnie and  scallop rectangle die.  I love the little dot details around the edges. Next I white heat embossed the bouquet of flowers from Altenew celebrations stamp set and copic coloured the back.  The waffle flower sentiment is also heat embossed.  A bit of ribbon and some nuvo dots finish this card off. I just love this colour combo. This card is for the following challenges: WCMD WW smooshing with Lydia WCMD Simon Says Stamp

    CAS Congratulations card

Hey everyone At the moment AAA cards and Less is More have a joint challenge to create one layer card on a coloured card base. This kind of card is totally outside my comfort zone, I find it difficult not to fuss.  I hope a couple of sequins still make it one layer! This card is entered into the following challenges: The Flower Challenge – Heat/ Dry embossing – I dry embossed the stitched rectangle by SSS Stamping Sensations July – anything goes with flowers

‘Lots of love’ loose watercolour flowers

Morning everyone I have had the watercolor wonders stamp set by Altenew for a while but not got round to using it much. Definite mistake on my part, I love it. Today’s card uses a loose watercolour technique.   I smooshed distress inks onto the stamps, lightly spritzed with water and then stamped onto my Bockingford 300gsm watercolour card stock.   I then used a damp paint brush to smooth out the colour and adding drops of distressing to further highlight some areas.  Once dry I added the sentiment with 3-D foam tape,  twine, sequins and some clear wink of Stella.  My panel is mounted with 3-D foam tape onto…
