Life is better with a friend like you

Hey my friends Hope you are having a good week? I love the sentiment on this card, it’s by a new to me company, Reverse Confetti. It’s a very CAS card to make – watercolour a gradient blue background, die cut and also die cut a frame. I stamped the sentiment with ranger archival black ink using a mini Misti so I could get a crisp impression on the textured watercolour piece. Assembled on to a side folding blue cardbase. This card is entered into the following challenges: HLS Watercolor Challenge– Anything Goes HLS March – Anything goes with Dies Papercraft Business Challenge cards4galz – beach/nautical Papercraft challenge #7 sentiment…

    Ombré Altenew Rose CAS card

Hi my lovelies This card is in a more CAS style – I am continually pushing myself to try new styles and I love the look of Clean and Simple (CAS) cards but find them difficult to pull off. I’m always wanting to add extra sequins 🤩 I took a top folding pale yellow landscape card and gold embossed a mama elephant striped border near the bottom. Next I die cut a pale yellow rectangle and adhered it to the base.  I die cut a Altenew Rose in three shades and also the leaves.  Once adhered I added some glue with a glue pen to the middle layer of the…

GD Simon Says Stamp Flickr Challenge – Die Cutting

I am extremely honoured and excited to be a guest designer for the next two weeks in the Simon Says Stamp Flickr Challenge. The current challenge #92 is Die Cutting. There are so many fun techniques you can do with dies. I had so much fun that I made four cards. 1. This example uses a die in the traditional way, First of all I used the fabulous Kind Flowers stamp set. There are so many wonderful sentiments that I used a number of them to create a tone on tone card base using Rangers archival black ink onto a side folding black cardbase. Next I used stamped the Kind…

    I really like you

Hi everyone I hope you’re all having a great week. Today’s card is a really clean and simple design. I took dark red card stock from Simon Says Stamp and made a side folding 4.25 x 5.5” note card and then took Simon Says Stamp stitched circle die and die cut white card stock in the centre so that I had basically a negative mask. I put the die in the centre of white card stock so that I had basically a negative mask and then put this on top of my red card base and used hero arts unicorn ink to blend a white circle.  Next I stamped the…
