June Reminder @ The Flower Challenge

Hello friends Its reminder time at The Flower Challenge For my entry this time I chose #12 Tic-Tac-Toe and the column blue/CAS/sentiment For my card I took some aqua paper and lightly pounced some hero arts unicorn white pigment ink through a Winnie and Walter leaf stencil for a subtle background. Next I stamped my clearly besotted poppies and stems in ranger archival black ink and Altenew blue ink, and cut them out. I assembled all the pieces on a UK A6 side folding white card base with a Happy Anniversary sentiment created on my printer.  I added some glossy accents to the flowers and some black enamel dots for…

    You are Turtley Awesome

Hi friends, I just received this cute turtle stamp from heffy doodle and had to play with it straight away. Firstly I found this fab stamp by Mama Elephant called modern borders, it may be retired now, and thought the scallop would make a great looking sea. I used my tim holtz stamping platform to help stamp my ‘sea’ with Altenew inks in shades of blue. Next I stamped my turtle with memento tuxedo black ink which is Copic friendly, fussy cut it and did some quick and easy colouring. Then I trimmed down my scallop panel and used my tim holtz knife to create little flaps around the waves…

The Flower Challenge May – Vellum or Acetate

Can you believe we are in May already??? It’s starting to fell like spring here in Scotland, yay. I was inspired by all the flowers beginning to shoot up for this months card for The Flower Challenge. To start I cut a piece of cold pressed watercolour card to 3” x 6” and also made a custom size cardbase (still to make the envelope). I used ranger archival black ink, which is waterproof, and a little bit of masking to create my scene with a Bloom from Altenew Golden Garden set. This is my go to floral set, I’ve def have my moneys worth with this one for a change.…

    Ombré Altenew Rose CAS card

Hi my lovelies This card is in a more CAS style – I am continually pushing myself to try new styles and I love the look of Clean and Simple (CAS) cards but find them difficult to pull off. I’m always wanting to add extra sequins 🤩 I took a top folding pale yellow landscape card and gold embossed a mama elephant striped border near the bottom. Next I die cut a pale yellow rectangle and adhered it to the base.  I die cut a Altenew Rose in three shades and also the leaves.  Once adhered I added some glue with a glue pen to the middle layer of the…
