    You are Turtley Awesome

Hi friends, I just received this cute turtle stamp from heffy doodle and had to play with it straight away. Firstly I found this fab stamp by Mama Elephant called modern borders, it may be retired now, and thought the scallop would make a great looking sea. I used my tim holtz stamping platform to help stamp my ‘sea’ with Altenew inks in shades of blue. Next I stamped my turtle with memento tuxedo black ink which is Copic friendly, fussy cut it and did some quick and easy colouring. Then I trimmed down my scallop panel and used my tim holtz knife to create little flaps around the waves…

Hand in hand with Pretty Pink Posh

Hiya A lovely Instagram friend @tesstimony_cards sent me a cute couple of images by Pretty Pink Posh (Summer Friends set) to colour. I’m embarrassed to say I’ve had these for about a year!  I recently made a few simple watercolour backgrounds with my peerless watercolours to have on hand ‘just in case’. This one with its sandy beach immediately reminded me of this cute boy and girl.  I coloured them simply with Copic markers and added them with 3d foam.  Next I used a memory box die and added some hearts in different sizes and added some wink of stella for a little sparkle. The sentiment is by a Pinkfresh…

    Happy Penguins

Hi Sorry I have been MIA lately, had a lovely holiday with my hubby in Vancouver (our first in seven years!) A few weeks ago I won a voucher at Gerda Steiner and bought the cute penguin stamp set I used in today’s card. I stamped the Penguins with black memento ink which is Copic friendly and used a fine liner to join the string from the heart garland to the balloon. I used copics to colour the Penguins simply. I wanted this to be a one layer card but unfortunately the copics bled through my card stock. I masked my Penguins and the balloon and did a little bit…

  • Thank you cards,  WPlus9

Wplus 9 Copic coloured ranunculus – challenge card.

I wanted to try Copic colouring the beautiful ranunculus bouquet by wplus9 but as you will see from the next pic, I only have a handful of copics, so I wasn’t sure what to do – so I decided just to see how it turned out with Aqua blue flowers as a pop of colour and the rest grey.  What do you think? Does it work? Yay or Nay? I am entering this card into the following challenges: Stamping Sensations -Anything goes with a stamp and ribbon Polkadoodles – Add ribbon or twine Addicted to Stamps and more – Make your Mark  Simon Says Stamp Monday challenge – Flora and/or Fauna Bunny Zoe’s…

    Wplus9 pink doodle buds

Ooh ooh ooh, I am so excited, I feel like I have been waiting for this stamp set to be in stock in the u.k forever! This wplus 9 doodle buds set is fab.  I kept seeing amazing cards on Pinterest and Instagram and knew I had to try and get it myself, but I have no patience.  But I have it now, yay, purchased from seven hills crafts. For my first play I decided to go simple and just enjoy one of the shapes, this quirky circle.  After stamping repeatedly with my hero arts black India ink I used 2 of my copic ciao pens to colour the circles.…
