Freehand watercolour roses by Rachel Vass

Freehand watercolour roses

Mama elephant, watercolour

Hey everyone,

Today’s card really pushed me outside of my comfort zone. I watercoloured some roses freehand in pretty pink tones using my gansai tambi paints.

Once dried I used the pretty scallop rectangle  by Winnie and Walter which really helped to smooth out some of the warping on the watercolour paper. The sentiment is one of my go to  happy anniversary sentiments by Mama Elephant.   I had an accident with my enamel dots (oops) so had to add loads to cover up and try and make the piece look balanced.

A friend gave me the large background stamp – but without packaging so not sue who it’s by, if you know please please let me know – so I stamped it using my Misti and black ink onto a top folding card base.  I watercoloured the cute fox, die cut him out, added a sentiment and some enamel dots.  A quick and easy card.

Watercoloured embossed Baby Card

Waffle Flower

Hiya.

It’s been lovely and sunny here in north east Scotland this week which seems to have brought my mojo with it.

My card uses beautiful paper from Pebbles called Lullaby along with a strip of gold cardstock for the bedroom.  I then heat embossed the cutest images from Popping In by Waffle Flower and then coloured them with Windsor and Newton Cotman watercolour paints on Bockingford watercolour paper. Aren’t these images just adorable?

Ombré green watercolour love card by Rachel Vass using Addies Garden

Fun and fresh watercolour background

Winnie and Walter

Hi peeps!

I’ve had a lovely morning tramping through the woods with my little one as he excitedly says ooh at everything. The fresh spring day inspired this card.

I first of all stamped lots of leaf images from Winnie and Walter ADDIES GARDEN using my MINI MISTI to make sure I got a good bold impression on the textured watercolor card. Then I used three distress inks,  CRACKED PISTACHIO, MOWED LAWN and EVERGREEN BOUGH to create my background piece.

I white heat embossed the Winnie and Walter SENDING YOU sentiment on black cardstock and added it to my card base along with some fussy cut leaf images from ADDIES GARDEN that I had used on the background. I added these with 3D foam squares for dimension and placed them hanging off the card to give some added movement.
