CAS Umbrella Card

simon says stamp, Thank you cards, watercolour

Hey everyone.

I’m still trying CAS cards using my new Simon Says Stamp Happy Day set from the May 2016 card kit.

With this card I wanted to enter the CASology challenge 209: watercolorimage

And
the Simon Says Stamp Work it Wednesday which is peridot (green) – I’m hoping one of the shades of green on the card is the right one to qualify 😀image

And Happy Little Stampers August CAS challenge – Masking

I did simple masking and stamping on Watercolor cardstock using hero arts India ink which is waterproof and then used my gansai tambi paints to make a gradient of colours on the umbrellas.  I used my misti to stamp the sentiment so I could be sure it was straight and as the card is textured I was able to double stamp – I love this tool!

  1. Great coloring, and fun stamp placement! (I just got a Misti and I love it, too…not sure what I did without it!) I love the various green watercolors, all so pretty together! Thanks for playing along at CASology!

  2. A brilliant combo of all the challenges. Gorgeously CAS and I love the ombre colours. I’ve been eying that stamp set for ages now and you may have finally pushed me over the edge. Thanks for playing along with CASology this week!

  3. What sweet little umbrellas with happy faces. Your card really made me smile and a perfect example of masking. I also wish I’d bought the bigger MISTI but I think the little one would end up getting more use anyway!
Thanks so much for linking up at Happy Little Stampers this month, Anita x

    1. Thank you so much for your kind words! I’m thrilled you like the card and read my post. Yeah I love my mini but might have to get the original too – if I can sneak one past my husband, lol.

I read every comment and they make me so happy, thank you for taking the time to comment.
